Thirty years of making things fit

Meet Kevin - Colt Carpentry Devon

Kevin has worked in the construction industry since leaving school, beginning his career in his father’s building business, where he spent around twenty years before setting up his own business Colt Carpentry Devon. That experience gave him a thorough grounding in construction and a lasting passion for carpentry, joinery and quality workmanship.

During his time with the family business, the company received NHBC recognition as one of the country’s top 100 building companies, taking first place nationally in one category. It also earned several national newspaper awards recognising the quality of its buildings and its customer care. Working in that environment helped shape the standards Kevin brings to every job today.

Through Colt Carpentry Devon, Kevin undertakes kitchens, decking, garden buildings, gates, doors and bespoke shelving for customers across Devon and Cornwall. Much of his work comes through word of mouth, built on personal recommendations and trust. He works independently, keeps a tidy site and takes pride in doing what he says he will do.

Outside his carpentry work, Kevin volunteers as a Community First Responder with the ambulance service, regularly responding to 999 emergency calls in his local community.

Whether he is working on someone’s home or volunteering his time, Kevin brings the same practical, dependable and caring approach.:
